Samata has lived in Somers Town since the age of 9. Samata’s family live in the area and her children go to local schools. Samata has served as a councillor since 2010. She has championed building more social and affordable homes to meet the needs of larger families. Samata was the cabinet Advisory for Tenants Voice and has developed policy & recommendations for our TRAs, encouraging our younger tenants’ involvement in the decision-making process of our Council homes. Samata fights for decisions that she believes are in the best interest of the local community.
