Richard Cotton is a retired local government officer and was a founding member of his workplace’s lesbian and gay workers’ group. He has lived in London all his life and in Camden for over 30 years. He has been a Labour Party member and trade unionist for over 50 years and a councillor since 2014. He was Mayor of Camden from 2017 to 18 raising over £50,000 for a local homeless project. Richard is currently Chair of the Licensing Committee and in his spare time he volunteers for a local food bank and a community library and he runs a Pensioners’ Walk Club.
